Dear all,

Due to the latest development of the SARS situation in China, CSSS has decided to stop collecting donations from our community and send what we have so far to China. We just closed our donation accout "CSSS SARS RELIEF FUND" and sent out the check of $4153.84 (click here to see the check) today together with a check of $1455.00 from the Midwest Chinese Science and Culture Association (MCSCA). The total amount is $5608.84 (including $1.84 of interest).

The checks of (all donations plus interest) have been made payable to:

The Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of Beijing Municipality SARS Relief Fund with a cover letter.

It is pointed out in the joint cover letter that the fund will be transferred to the medical workers in Beijing Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital (one of the SARS dedicated hospitals). For details, please refer to the following documents (http://www.osu.edu/students/csss/).

Since the account of "CSSS SARS RELIEF FUND" has been closed, NO further donations will be accepted. Your check will be RETURNED if received after the closure of the account.

CSSS appreciates the generosity and support of all donors whose names have been listed on our website. CSSS also thank you for your contributions to our home country! We are looking forward to the final victory of the fight agains SARS in China.
